1. DAMPSTOP IS USED FOR

   • Waterproofing of old or new concrete/masonry wall or plaster, especially, adjacent to wash-rooms, kitchens etc.
   • Interior walls, showing rising dampness, efflorescence etc.

   METHOD OF APPLICATION

   1. Surface Preparation:
   • The surface to be applied should be clean and sound, free from any kind of contamination, dirt etc.
   • Thoroughly wire brush the surface and clean the dust by air compressor or by water jetting.
   • Oil and grease must be removed using degreasing solvents.
   • Any damaged surface must be repaired by using crack fillers or polymer modified repair mortar like Advanced Latex Plus.
   • Take care of leakages in concealed pipes or all other sources of water, prior to application of the product.
   • Very weak plaster must be replaced with a new one.
   • Finally the substrate must be properly pre-wetted to a saturated surface-dry condition.
   2. Mixing:
   • Add Dampstop to water and start mixing.
   • Mix constantly with a stirrer using a pneumatic or electric power tool (1kw) at slow speed of 250 — 300 rpm for 3 - 5 minutes to get a homogeneous, putty like consistency.
   3. Product Application:

   Make sure that the application is on properly prepared bare plaster/concrete.

   Coverage: The coverage varies on the substrate quality, however, on a sound plastered substrate the coverage is expected to be a minimum of 8-9 sq.ft. (0.74 - 0.83 sq.meter)/kg, in a three layer application as mentioned above.

   Finally, level the applied area with putty application.

   • Apply Dampstop at least 2 ft. beyond in all directions from the affected area.
   • Apply an additional coat of Dampstop in case of severe dampness.
   • For best results, strictly follow the dilution and recommended coverage requirements.

   USAGE PRECAUTIONS

   • Do not add extra water for dilution.
   • Do not add any powder material, externally. Always add powder to the liquid, vice-versa not recommended.
   • Strictly recommended to not use directly on any non-cement surface, like POP / Gypsum / painted wall etc.
   • Do not expose the applied substrate to water until it is completely cured.
   • Must be protected from direct sunlight, foot traffic etc. at green stage of application.

   SHELF LIFE: Best before 12 months from date of production, if stored properly in unopened, undamaged, original packaging in dry conditions at (5 - 30)°C with protection from direct sunlight and frost.

   STORAGE: Store in cool and dry place.
